The Brevard Schools Foundation has released its annual publication of scholarship opportunities. You’ll see several of these booklets around the school in the attendance and guidance offices as well as in the senior dining hall. All seniors are encouraged to download the booklet from The Brevard Schools Foundation web page.

When completing the applications, students should be sure to follow directions for each scholarship and sign in BLUE ink. The application may also require a short reference from teachers. Return all applications directly to your guidance counselor so they can be reviewed prior to submission to the BSF on March 16.

Any cheerleader, girl OR guy, wanting to try out for the 2012-2013 cheerleading squad, LISTEN UP!!! Try outs are Monday thru Friday, March 19-23, 2012.

There will be a MANDATORY parent/cheerleader meeting on Wednesday, March 7^th at 6 pm in the Media Center. There MUST be ONE parent/guardian present at the meeting in order to try out . . . NO EXCEPTIONS. This is for current VHS students ONLY. . . incoming freshmen will try out in August.

Viera’s 3D Art students support community recycling project

Viera’s 3D Art classes are working with Recycle Brevard! and Red Berry in a community recycling project. Red Berry’s plastic spoons are being reused by our students to create sculptures that will decorate Red Berry’s walls. VTV’s Madison Jolley has the story.
